2014 Club Championships - Open for Entries

5-7 September 2013, closing date for entries 31 July

Inspired by the action at Wimbledon?  Then put your name down for the Kinnoull Tennis Club Championship tournament in September.  There are some lovely trophies to win and we welcome your participation.

To enter, either fill in your name & contact details on the notice board at the clubhouse, or email me,  stating which categories you wish to enter.

Entry is free and open to Kinnoull Tennis Club Members of any standard.  To enter you must be a fully paid-up senior, student or U18 junior member of the club on 31 July, and you must be available to attend weekend of 5-7 September.

Depending upon the number of entries, some matches may need to be played in advance of the tournament weekend.  Players will be contacted if this is the case – and left to organise their own match dates.

The draw for matches will be posted on the notice board and the website shortly after the closing date.

The following tournaments will be held:

Ladies’ Singles Open, Ladies’ Singles Veterans

Men’s Singles Open, Men’s Singles Veterans

Ladies’ Doubles Open, Ladies’ Doubles Veterans

Men’s Doubles Open, Men’s Doubles Veterans

Mixed Doubles Open

You may enter as many categories as you wish.

Please enter doubles with a partner.  However, if you don’t have a partner then put your name down anyway and we will try to arrange a partner for you.

To enter any veteran’s tournament you must be aged 40 or above on August 1st.

Matches shall be the best of three sets.  If 6 games all, then a tie-break to 7 points with a lead of two points shall be played.  If the score is one set all and 6 games all, then a championship tie-break shall be played i.e. a tie break first to 10 points with a lead of 2 points.  The winner of the match should report the score on the club notice board directly the match has been played.

Note:  Junior Club Championships – A separate flyer will go out about the junior club championships – but we do aim to play the finals during the same weekend.
